when it comes time to study, i do everything but.
this blog started about 3 years ago in my desperation to get away from studying. i was trying to study for a final in the middle of the night and because i had no one to talk to to distract myself, i thought oh maybe i will start writing down my rantings.
so i started my first post.
three years on and things have not changed much. i am trying to study for the gmat which is on monday, and while i should really be trying to understand permutations and whether X squared is greater Y cubed, i am ranting once again because there is no one at home to distract me.
so i used to have a chocolate chocolate chip muffin for breakfast every morning (from the ray's deli on st marks and 3rd). since we no longer pass by that deli, i have resorted to dry toast or special k from work. but my point is that a good double chocolate chip muffin is hard to come by. i like the ones loaded with choc chips. not the fake ones with just a few chips sprinkled on top. i love to dig into a muffin for the huge chunks of half melted chocolate. and of course the muffin top is crucial- the muffins at ray's were not only HUGE, they sprinkled sugar on the top so that it caramelized nicely when baked and makes for a crisp muffin top. crisp and filled with chocolate chips- DIVINE.
speaking of chocolate, i walked by the godiva store at grand central and i see the chocolate covered strawberries. so i think- what the heck, i'm studying hard tomorrow so i deserve to eat a chocolate covered strawberry. so i walked in and asked for a chocolate covered strawberry. the cashier said $6.50 please. inside me i balked- WHAT $6.50 for a choc covered strawberry???? that's the price of a lunch!!! and unfortunately the chocolate coating was too thick, hard and artificial tasting. i might as well have bought a strawberry and eaten a piece of chocolate separately. godiva certainly chose their namesake right- GO DIVA. go diva, buy my chocolate.
