promotion most of the time is a good thing. the downside to mine is that i will no longer be travelling to chicago so that's the end of my cumulation of miles and hotel points. expenses now will skyrocket because no more fancy meals on the company, i'll have to purchase groceries and i will actually live in my apt so my water and electricity bills will go up too.

New York Bans Most Trans Fats in Restaurants

a few weeks ago the NY times reported that restaurants have to ban trans fats in their menus so as to help in the battle against the obesity epidemic!!

how about that sounds fucking ridiculous???!!

how is obesity an epidemic?? getting uncontrollably fat is very much by choice and people who know how to eat trans fats in moderation should not be banned from it. i mean, being the calorie-counting queen that i am i should be rejoicing at this new law because it will help my cause, but i am also pro-choice and this is government intervention to the nth degree. how can we sit back and let lawmakers who cannot do their regular jobs right dictate what we can and cannot eat??
