this monday i stopped by the gym but i didn't work out (got there and decided i was too lazy). ended up walking home and on the way i saw a poster for the chemical brothers playing at mccarren park pool. thought- oh how nostalgic. i remember the days when xiu and i were really into electronica. the chemical brothers, prodigy, tha jackal soundtrack, crytal method, SPAWN. we went blading around singapore with our discmans and headphones in our backpacks.
then on tues we stopped by the gym again and ended up not going again (fede forgot his shoes). so i went home, put on my chemical brothers cd and jumped around like a madwoman for 40 mins. fede thought i was nuts but boy what a work out. three days later my calves are still sore from it.
tomorrow i will be going to see the chemical brothers at mccarren park pool. all because i came to work on wed morning complaining about my aching calves and why they got that way. he said i'm going to see them on sat you should come. i was like, woah i feel so old- watching the chemical bros play??? that was like when i was 14. dude, the chemical bros are classic now. haha.
but i decided it was all too karmic to ignore so i just bought my ticket and tomorrow will be busting out my bedroom moves to all of hipster brooklyn that is still revelling in classic electronica.
